About

An encyclopedia you can argue with

Beliefpedia holds 45 worldviews — religions, schools and modern movements — described the same way, scored the same way, and placed on one shared axis so they can actually be compared.

The agency axis

Agency is not free will. It is desire plus competence plus optimism — the belief that your effort dents the world. Every entry sits between −100 (nothing is in your hands) and +100 (everything is). It measures a property of the system, not its truth or worth.

The six tiers

The tier structure and agency placements are adapted from the India in Pixels (Ashris) videos “16 Indian Philosophies Explained Like Strategies in a Game” and “36 World Philosophies Ranked by Agency”. Everything else — practices, frameworks, misconceptions, courses — is editorial. Disagree loudly; that is the point.
